Cincinnati Museum Center announces closure effective March 14
CINCINNATI – In the interests of guest, staff, and volunteer safety, Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) announced today it will be closed to the public through April 3. CMC will continue to monitor developments around the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus and will evaluate whether the closure will continue beyond that date.
CMC made the announcement after further discussion with local health officials and coordination with Greater Cincinnati’s other cultural offerings.
With CMC’s announcement, all programs will be canceled through April 3, including Museum Camps.
In its efforts to continue to be a place of science and learning, CMC is currently working on online exhibits, videos and activities that parents can use to keep their kids’ minds and bodies active. CMC is also sharing facts and information about COVID-19 online, hoping to combat misinformation about the virus and encouraging the public to act on facts.
CMC will continue to monitor developments around COVID-19 and consult with health officials to determine a prudent reopening date.
